I've been many times with few friends and also with big groups, never disappointing. benedettauk - November 2011 We visited Il Forno back in the first week it was open some 6/7 years ago. We have been many times since and returned after a break. We booked by phone and received an email confirmation - very professional. We arrived early on Saturday - were seated and served quickly by a knowledgeable waiter. drinks came and we settled into our starters; My wife had calamari - sublime - I also had calamari but took a starter of Scallops wrapped in bacon with risotto (as I could't chooses between them!). The scallops were done to perfection and the risotto 'al dente' with great flavour. After a break and more drinks we both had Pasta - All' Arrabiata (with Italian Sausage) - and garlic focaccia to complement. Both dishes were hot, flavoursome and large! We finished but passed on the tasty desserts - including cheesecake and tiramisu... It was busy here and pretty much full but service was exemplary - even received a thank you email afterwards for dining there. They have got the whole experience just spot-on! Considering that it was a monday evening, the atmosphere was lovely and food perfect I have been here on 15 - 20 occasions and never been dissapointed.
