IL FORNO TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL PIZZA WEEKEND WITH AWARD WINNING FOOD
Duke Street eatery Il Forno is offering customers a slice of success this Friday, Saturday and Sunday to mark National Pizza Weekend.
Pizzaiola chef Tomasz Kuba will be on hand making award-winning pizzas especially for the occasion, just days after he was named a winner at The Pizza, Pasta & Italian Food Association awards in London earlier this week. Il Forno was also given a gold award for Best Pizza Restaurant.
And all of the proceeds that are raised through sales of Tomasz’s special ‘Pizza Ricca’ will be donated to Liverpool baby hospice, Zoë’s Place.
Operations manager for Il Forno, Andrew Ewing, said: “What better way to celebrate National Pizza Weekend than to offer our customers a piece of our success. Everyone at the restaurant is incredibly proud of Tomasz and although we’ve known for a long time that he makes some of the best pizzas around, these awards have now proved it to the rest of the country!”
The awards, which were attended by leading figures from the pizza, pasta and Italian food industry, are now in their 20th year.
